Line following challenge where autonomous robots compete in speed and precision. Complete the track in the shortest time!
An autonomous robot must complete the black-line track in the shortest time
In the "Robo Follower" competition, the robot must complete the track marked by a black line on a white polygon from start to finish in the shortest possible time. The maximum time allowed is 2 minutes.
Each team is given two attempts to complete the distance, and the best result is counted. The robot must be fully autonomous; team members are prohibited from touching the robot during the run.
Complete the track in minimal time without deviating from the line
Precisely tune line sensors and correctly distinguish black and white
Use PID or other algorithms to ensure smooth robot motion
Full independent operation without external intervention
The robot that completes the track in the shortest time is the winner
If the line is lost for more than 5 seconds, the attempt ends - sensor precision is critical
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners receive certificates and commemorative prizes
Robo Follower robots must meet the following technical requirements
20 x 20 x 20 sm
Maximum width, length, and height
1 kg
Maximum weight limit
Autonomous
Fully autonomous. Touching or controlling during the run is prohibited
2 minutes
Maximum time allowed to complete the track
Black line on a white polygon - the robot path
Track surface is white
Line width used to define the track
Minimum curve radius of the line
Complete the track from beginning to end
Procedure and winner determination criteria
Each team is given two attempts to complete the distance. The best result is counted. Each attempt has a maximum duration of 2 minutes.
If, during the run, the robot loses the line for more than 5 seconds (is not on the line), the attempt is considered finished.
The team with the shortest completion time wins. Time is measured with millisecond precision.
If multiple robots fail to reach the finish, the robot that travels the longest distance along the line is the winner.
All robots undergo technical examination before the competition.
Each team performs its first attempt.
The second attempt is conducted, and the best result is counted.
Team members are strictly prohibited from touching the robot during the competition
Manual control or manipulation of the robot during the competition
If the robot is off the line for more than 5 seconds, the attempt ends
Creating unauthorized Wi-Fi network or bringing unauthorized equipment
